Job Description:
As a Water Treatment Operator at Solenis, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of water treatment processes. This includes ensuring the effective and efficient operation of various systems such as boilers, cooling systems, pasteurizers, and chlorine dioxide systems. You will be tasked with monitoring, reporting, and maintaining water treatment equipment, as well as overseeing the chemical inventory and performing quality control tests.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Daily Operations & Monitoring:
- Check and record stock levels for chemicals, equipment, and reagents.
- Complete daily reports for pasteurizers, boilers, cooling systems, and chlorine dioxide systems.
- Attend morning meetings to discuss daily operations and maintenance requirements.
✔ Equipment & System Maintenance:
- Inspect equipment for issues such as leaks, slime build-up, or beer foam in the pasteurizer.
- Ensure adequate bromine levels in brominators and maintain chemical stations.
- Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of brominators and PWR sumps during line maintenance days.
✔ Chemical Management:
- Monitor the transfer of chemicals from bulk storage to day tanks, ensuring proper stock levels.
- Ensure the availability of testing reagents and oversee the receiving of stock.
- Capture and document concerns or issues from operators regarding chemical systems.
✔ Water Quality Monitoring & Reporting:
- Collect and test samples from boilers, cooling systems, pasteurizers, and chlorine dioxide systems.
- Submit daily utility reports to the Account Manager/Technician before the shift ends.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards around bulk storage areas and chemical stations.
✔ Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure that all water treatment processes comply with health and safety regulations.
- Report any discrepancies or issues related to water treatment and equipment functionality.
Qualifications:

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training in water treatment or related fields is preferred.

Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within the water treatment or industrial sector.

Skills:
- Familiarity with water treatment systems and processes.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Ability to operate basic laboratory equipment for water testing and monitoring.
