π§Ύ About the Role β ARC Financial Accountant (Lubes)
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ARC Financial Accountant to support our Lubes business unit. In this role, you will ensure financial compliance, maintain control frameworks, and provide accurate and timely financial reporting in line with group and statutory requirements. You’ll work within the ARC (Accounting, Reporting, and Control) function and act as a trusted financial advisor within our South African operations.
π Key Responsibilities

Deliver accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements for the Lubes business.

Ensure effective month-end close activities and balance sheet reconciliations.

Implement and monitor internal control processes to ensure compliance with BP policies and external regulations.

Support business partners with financial insights to drive performance improvements.

Act as liaison for internal and external audit engagements.

Maintain detailed and accurate financial records, ensuring transparency and traceability.

Contribute to standardization and automation of reporting processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams across local and global finance units.
π Qualifications & Experience

Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
-
CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification (advantageous).

Minimum 3β5 yearsβ experience in financial accounting or audit, preferably within a multinational environment.

Strong understanding of IFRS and local regulatory standards.

Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.

Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting tool proficiency.
