🧩 JOB OVERVIEW
The Graduate in Training – Asset Management role provides structured, hands-on exposure within the Asset Management Business Unit. The graduate will support the Head of Asset Management and Junior Asset Manager in the operational management of project companies in which Pele Green Energy is invested.
This role is ideal for graduates seeking practical experience in renewable energy asset operations, compliance, reporting, revenue management and stakeholder engagement.
📝 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review
-
Review monthly operational reports from external partners and service providers

Review board packs received for operational assets
Reporting
-
Assist with Asset Management reporting for operational and construction assets
-
Support compliance-related reporting requirements
-
Assist with snapshot, quarterly DOE, monthly IPPO, and NERSA reporting
Purchasing
-
Prepare Request for Purchase Approvals (RPAs)
-
Monitor purchase orders and supplier documentation
-
Assist with supplier reconciliations and payment schedules
Revenue
-
Review revenue schedules
-
Assist with Eskom revenue invoicing
Compliance
-
Support all compliance-related and ad hoc requests
Meetings
-
Attend Asset Management, operational and board meetings as required
Administrative Support

Assist with due diligence processes and filing

Support ad hoc Asset Management requests
Systems & Audits

Track activities on Basecamp
-
Assist with audit requests and supporting documentation
🎓 QUALIFICATIONS
Education
-
BCom Degree in Finance or Accounting
-
CIMA qualification will be advantageous
Experience
-
No formal work experience required

Exposure through internships, articles or academic projects is beneficial
Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
