📝 Role Overview

Medirite Plus MH Parklands is seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Branch Manager to support and lead our store operations. This role offers the opportunity to drive sales, manage inventory, and lead a motivated team, all while ensuring excellent customer service and store compliance.

You’ll play a pivotal role in optimizing sales across a diverse product range, including skincare, cosmetics, vitamins, and personal care, while also maintaining stock control, merchandising standards, and customer satisfaction.

🧠 Key Responsibilities

Sales & Profitability:

• Drive sustainable sales and meet monthly profit targets.

• Manage stock availability and gross profit drivers.

• Execute promotions and pricing strategies.

Stock & Merchandising:

• Ensure consistent replenishment and shelf availability.

• Maintain shop floor presentation and pricing accuracy.

• Reduce shrinkage and wastage through controls and reporting.

Customer Engagement:

• Build lasting customer loyalty through excellent service.

• Ensure high standards of in-store experiences and satisfaction.

Team Leadership:

• Train, develop, and supervise team members.

• Conduct performance reviews and resolve staff grievances.

• Lead by example in delivering customer service excellence.

Operational Compliance:

• Maintain housekeeping and hygiene standards.

• Ensure full adherence to safety and compliance protocols.

• Uphold policies aligned with South African regulations.

✅ Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate is essential.

Experience:

• At least 2 years of retail management or supervisory experience in a similar role.

Skills & Competencies:

• Fluent in English and preferably Afrikaans.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and numeracy skills.

• Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., ShopPos, OBS) and supply chain procedures.

• Capable of leading teams and maintaining customer-first culture.

• Knowledge of merchandising principles and payment procedures.
