An exciting opportunity exists for an Assistant Branch Manager at our Montague Gardens Branch. This leadership role involves supporting the Branch Manager in overseeing daily operations, leading a team, and ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.

This is the perfect role for a motivated individual with strong managerial experience, attention to detail, and the ability to take charge when required.


πŸ› οΈ Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily branch operations alongside the Branch Manager

  • Lead, motivate, and supervise operational teams

  • Maintain excellent customer service and client relations

  • Ensure compliance with the Second-Hand Goods Act during scrap metal purchases

  • Accurately record all scrap items bought and dispatched

  • Ensure proper grading and inspection of all scrap materials

  • Maintain records in compliance with internal systems and regulations

  • Ensure health & safety policies are adhered to

  • Monitor and improve team performance and morale

  • Step into the Branch Manager role when needed


πŸ“‹ Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent

  • 3–5 years of relevant management/supervisory experience

  • Strong communication skills; fluent in English

  • Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Strong numeracy skills and ability to work under pressure

  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport

⏰ Working Hours

  • Monday–Thursday: 07:30 – 17:00

  • Friday: 07:30 – 16:00
