๐ถ Position Overview
Tshwane North TVET College is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Director: Examination Services to lead the full spectrum of assessment and examination processes across all campuses. This permanent role requires a dynamic professional with strong leadership abilities, deep TVET sector knowledge, and the ability to implement policy-driven assessment and moderation systems.
As part of the Academic Services leadership team, you will ensure the highest levels of integrity, accuracy, compliance, and readiness in all examination and assessment functions.
๐ Minimum Requirements

Matric / NQF Level 4 Certificate
-
Recognised National Diploma/Degree in Education (NQF Level 6) or equivalent
-
Honours Degree (advantage)
-
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in assessments, external examinations, and Teaching & Learning within the TVET sector
-
Experience as national examiner and/or moderator (advantage)
-
Valid SACE Certificate
-
Strong computer literacy (MS Office 365 + e-learning examination platforms)
-
Knowledge of TVETMIS and ITS systems
-
Understanding of national and provincial assessment policies
-
Valid driverโs license
-
Ability to travel and work under pressure
๐ ๏ธ Key Duties & Responsibilities
๐น Examination & Assessment Management
-
Oversee all examination and assessment activities across all TNC campuses
-
Standardise ICASS assessments and ensure consistency across programmes
-
Coordinate subject committees and collaboration groups for quality assessment task development and moderation
-
Manage internal marking centres and ensure effective internal marking processes
-
Support implementation of ISAT across campuses
๐น Data & Results Management

Ensure submission of term marks to MIS on time

Verify terms marks and final results before release
-
Assist with resolving pending results and ensure accuracy
๐น Policy, Compliance & Readiness

Monitor campus readiness for examinations

Ensure full compliance with DHET policies and exam guidelines
-
Develop, update, and implement exam-related college policies
-
Conduct campus assessments, audits, and quality checks
๐น Stakeholder Engagement

Liaise between the College and DHET regarding all assessment matters

Support graduation committee operations
-
Coordinate marker and moderator applications with DHET
๐น Reporting & Administration

Compile academic reports for management and the Academic Board

Monitor distribution points and support exam officers

Ensure proper scheduling, resource allocation, and invigilation training
