🔧 Key Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Driver, you’ll play a crucial support role in ensuring efficient, safe, and timely delivery of goods. Your daily tasks will include:

• Assisting with loading and unloading goods, including operation of the truck’s bin-raising device.

• Supporting the designated driver with navigation and adherence to delivery schedules.

• Maintaining delivery records, including log sheets and route updates.

• Obtaining client signatures to confirm receipt of goods.

• Communicating effectively with customers and clients to resolve delivery-related issues.

• Reporting any challenges or delivery problems to the Operations Manager.

• Ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the delivery vehicle.

• Adhering to production and delivery schedules and health and safety regulations.

🎓 Minimum Requirements:

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Matric / Equivalent qualification (compulsory).

• Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or production environments.

• Knowledge of warehouse processes, logistics routes, and protective safety gear standards.

• Ability to work well in a team, follow instructions, and maintain a professional customer-facing attitude.
