We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager, HR to join our team in Port Shepstone, South Africa. Key Responsibilities:

As the Assistant Manager, HR, you will play a vital role in supporting the HR function by overseeing various HR processes. Your core responsibilities include:

πŸ”Ή HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure efficient payroll processing, benefits administration, and accurate employee records management.
  • Maintain compliance with South African labor laws and company policies.
  • Perform periodic audits to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

πŸ”Ή Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Lead the full recruitment cycle, from job postings to candidate selection, and ensure the smooth onboarding process.
  • Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews and the timely handling of health and provident fund notifications.

πŸ”Ή Performance Management & Employee Engagement

  • Administer performance management systems, including conducting probationary and periodic evaluations.
  • Identify training needs, employee grievances, and conflict resolution, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Design and implement employee engagement strategies, including surveys and feedback mechanisms.

πŸ”Ή HR Strategy & Policy Implementation

  • Implement and enforce HR policies in line with organizational objectives.
  • Work closely with global affiliates to adapt and implement organization-wide HR policies and initiatives.
  • Contribute to HR strategic planning, identifying opportunities for process improvements based on HR data analysis.

πŸ”Ή Collaboration & Project Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Manage ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Global HR Director.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):

To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following qualifications and skills:

Qualifications:

πŸŽ“ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

πŸ—“ 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years in a business partnering role.
🌍 Experience in the not-for-profit sector is a plus.

Skills:

βœ”οΈ Strong communication (verbal and written) and relationship-building skills.
βœ”οΈ Analytical and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
βœ”οΈ Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that drive results.

βœ”οΈ Experience managing change management processes and organizational initiatives.
