Support the Store Manager in running an efficient store operation focused on service excellence, sales growth, and customer loyalty to achieve sales, profit, and compliance targets β€” ensuring a competitive advantage for the Clicks brand.


πŸ“‹ Job Objectives & Responsibilities

πŸ“ˆ Sales & Financial Performance

  • Maximise sales through promotional activities, cross-selling, and up-selling.

  • Ensure achievement of store financial goals including budget adherence and profit targets.

βš™οΈ Operational Management

  • Manage daily store operations, including expenses, stock management, shrinkage control, housekeeping, and administration.

  • Ensure in-store visual merchandising meets Clicks brand standards and promotional layouts.

πŸ‘₯ Team Leadership

  • Motivate, direct, and manage staff performance to meet set targets and goals.

  • Support Store Manager in staff scheduling and labour compliance.

🀝 Customer Service Excellence

  • Implement customer service initiatives to deliver great experiences and boost loyalty.

  • Drive Clicks ClubCard participation targets.

πŸ“‘ Administration & Compliance

  • Complete all administrative tasks efficiently, including weekly time and attendance submissions.

  • Ensure compliance with retail risk, cost control, and labour legislation.

πŸŽ“ Education & Experience

  • Essential: Grade 12 with at least 50% in Maths and English.

  • Essential: Relevant Retail or Business Management qualification (for external applicants).

  • Desirable: Degree in Retail or Business Management.

  • Minimum 1 year experience in assistant store management or successful completion of Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme.

  • Financial management experience including budgets and profit & loss statements.

  • Understanding financial management principles.

  • Retail and FMCG merchandising and promotions knowledge.

  • Customer service excellence and labour legislation understanding.
