🛠️ Your Role: What You’ll Do

As an Assistant Technical Accountant, you’ll support the finance team in ensuring compliance with gambling tax regulations and accurate financial reporting.

📝 Key Responsibilities:

✔️ Prepare weekly/monthly betting tax calculations
✔️ Submit and reconcile betting taxes with Gambling Boards
✔️ Assist in liaising with regulators to resolve betting tax queries
✔️ Perform monthly reconciliations on betting tax control accounts
✔️ Support in identifying and correcting system or data anomalies
✔️ Test and review reports related to new bet types or branches
✔️ Assist with variance reports, BTC reconciliations, and project tasks
✔️ Provide audit support related to betting systems
✔️ Maintain detailed, organized records of all betting tax calculations
✔️ Contribute to ad hoc projects as assigned by the accounting leadership team

🧠 What You Bring to the Table

✅ Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
✅ Understanding of horse racing and sports bookmaking
✅ Minimum 1 year of Intermediate Excel experience

➕ Studying towards or having completed a relevant Accounting Degree or Diploma
➕ Experience with Pastel Evolution or similar accounting software
