We are looking for an Associate Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Land Infrastructure division. In this role, you’ll lead a variety of civil engineering projects, from township to site-specific infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in both public and private sector land infrastructure projects, eager to contribute to sustainable development and smart engineering solutions.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
- Tender & Bid Coordination: Assist in preparing tenders/bids and contribute to business-winning initiatives.
- Project Delivery: Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while managing client expectations and team morale.
- Project Leadership: Lead small to medium projects, manage delivery teams, and ensure progress aligns with the defined objectives.
- Client Management: Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, resolve project-level issues, and maintain strong client relationships.
- Technical Documentation: Produce key deliverables, such as technical reports, specifications, and Bills of Quantities.
- Business Development Support: Actively support activities aimed at expanding the business and fostering client relationships.
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing knowledge and expertise to elevate team capabilities.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively across disciplines and international geographies to bring innovative solutions to life.
🌟 Skills & Competencies:
- Education: BSc/BEng/BTech in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: 5-10 years of professional experience with at least 5 years post-registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA.
- Technical Proficiency: CAD proficiency is essential, with experience in Civil 3D being advantageous.
- Project Leadership: Strong track record in designing and leading land infrastructure projects, particularly municipal and site-specific services.
- Client-Facing Expertise: Proven ability to engage with clients, manage expectations, and deliver exceptional service.
- Organizational & Time Management Skills: Effective at planning and implementing project timelines and budgets.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across teams and with clients at all levels.
