Introduction

ATNS is offering 117 bursary opportunities through its Air Traffic Services (ATS) Bursary Programme, designed to develop future leaders in aviation.

Successful applicants will study at the Aviation Training Academy in Bonaero Park, gaining skills and qualifications that prepare them for critical operational roles. Placement of trainees will depend on organisational requirements.


Bursary Streams

  1. Air Traffic Services Officer (ATSO)

  2. Aeronautical Information Management Officer (AIMO)

  3. Target Generating Officer (TGO)

  4. Airport Management Centre (AMC) Liaison Officer

  5. Simulator Support Officer (SSO)

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric with passes in:

    • Pure Mathematics (Level 4 / HG – D or SG – C or above)

    • English (Level 4 / HG – D or SG – C or above)

  • South African citizen with a valid ID.

  • Medically fit (must pass ATNS medical assessment for ATSO stream).

  • Willing to relocate anywhere in South Africa.

  • Must be unemployed South African youth.

  • Applicants previously enrolled in an ATNS programme will not be considered.

  • Attach your Grade 12 results to the application.
