MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Attendant (Pipe Track and Ventilation) supports mining operations by assisting team members, following daily and weekly instructions, and ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and security standards within the underground mining environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support team members with operational tasks as required

• Obtain and follow daily and weekly work instructions from the Miner and Team Leader

• Assist with pipe track and ventilation-related duties underground

• Ensure all work is performed according to safety procedures and mine standards

• Adhere strictly to Health, Safety, and Security regulations at all times

• Report unsafe conditions or incidents to supervisors immediately

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 10 or equivalent

• Ability to work underground in a mining environment

• Physically fit for manual labour

Advantageous:

• Previous underground mining experience

• Exposure to pipe track or ventilation support duties

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Strong safety awareness

• Ability to follow instructions accurately

• Teamwork and cooperation

• Good communication skills

• Reliability and discipline

• Willingness to work shifts and underground conditions

HEALTH & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Commitment to zero-harm workplace culture
