The University of Pretoria is inviting applications for a Lecturer – Internal Auditing / CIA position within the Department of Auditing.
This academic role involves lecturing at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervising postgraduate research, supporting academic administration, and contributing to scholarly research through accredited publications.

Key Responsibilities
- Lecture undergraduate and postgraduate auditing modules
- Deliver internal auditing and CIA-aligned content

Qualifications
Education
Minimum Requirements
- Honours Degree in a Financial Sciences-related field that provides access to a master’s degree and registration with the Institute of Internal Auditors as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
OR
- Relevant Master’s Degree in:
- Internal Audit
- Auditing
- Closely related field
Experience
- Lecturing experience or relevant industry experience
- Research experience or involvement in research activities
- Experience supervising student research (advantageous)
- Experience with blended learning (advantageous)
- Experience facilitating large student groups (advantageous)
Preferred Qualifications & Certifications
- Master’s Degree in Auditing / Internal Audit
- IT-related certification or qualification
- CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or similar
- Research publications in accredited journals
- Potential to develop as a scholar in the discipline
