π§Ύ LEARNERSHIP OVERVIEW
The Automated Packaging Learnership at Unileverβs Maydon Wharf Factory provides hands-on training in automated packaging operations within a manufacturing environment. Learners will gain practical experience in production line operations, quality control, equipment handling, safety compliance, and basic mechanical maintenance while working with advanced automated systems.
This programme is ideal for candidates interested in manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain careers.
π KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform general production line operations and cleaning activities

Conduct pre-start-up equipment and safety checks in line with SOPs
-
Monitor product and packaging quality and report faults immediately
-
Identify and respond to process abnormalities
-
Clean machinery according to manufacturer and site specifications
-
Prepare and verify raw materials for production
-
Maintain personal and team safety on the production line
-
Support eco-efficient and sustainable manufacturing practices
-
Complete all learnership assessments, logbooks, and assignments
π QUALIFICATIONS
Education
-
National Senior Certificate (Matric) with Mathematics and Science, OR
-
N2 / N3 / N4 Engineering qualification
Experience

No prior work experience required
