Mondi, a global leader in packaging and paper, is offering an exciting opportunity for an Automation Engineer-in-Training at its mill in Richards Bay. This graduate-level position is tailored to support your professional development while actively contributing to innovative, sustainable operations in the engineering space.

This Engineering Graduate Programme is structured to ensure your continuous learning and skill development while engaging with real-world industrial automation projects. You will be immersed in hands-on tasks under expert mentorship and given the opportunity to explore automation technologies that impact operational efficiency and sustainability.

🎯 Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in hands-on automation and control system operations

• Assist with electrical and electronics maintenance across the plant

• Support the optimization of data acquisition, diagnostics, and industrial processes

• Contribute to troubleshooting and resolving system automation issues

• Work collaboratively with technical teams on engineering projects

• Ensure all activities align with health, safety, and environmental standards

📚 Minimum Requirements:

• BSc or BEng degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Light Current)

• Minimum NQF level 8 qualification

• Academic aggregate of at least 60%

• Degree must be completed within a maximum of 5 years

• Must be a South African citizen with a valid South African ID
