About the Role

ADM is seeking a driven and innovative B2B Sales Account Manager with experience in food ingredients to lead and expand our plant-based and meat alternatives segment across South Africa. As part of our Sales, Customer Service & Origination team, you’ll actively manage relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities, helping drive sustainability and food innovation in the region.


🌟 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow B2B food ingredient sales in South Africa.

  • Support and develop Key Accounts, distributors, and regular customers.

  • Implement sales and marketing strategies for the East African market.

  • Build and execute sales plans aligned with overall market strategy.

  • Develop customer solutions in collaboration with product development teams.

  • Monitor trends and identify market potential for meat alternatives and plant-based products.

  • Establish strong, long-term client relationships.

  • Coordinate effectively within a global, matrixed organization.


✅ Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Food Science, Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in B2B food ingredients sales.

  • Knowledge of plant-based proteins, savory applications, snacks, dairy, or sweet goods markets.

  • Existing commercial contacts in the relevant industries are a strong advantage.

  • Excellent English communication skills; French or Portuguese is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across the region.

  • Self-motivated, structured, and results-driven with excellent interpersonal skills.
