👨‍🍳 About the Role

We are hiring a highly motivated and experienced Banqueting Sous Chef to join our award-winning culinary team. You will play a key role in executing high-end events, banquets, and private functions. This role requires creativity, leadership, and the ability to deliver consistently exceptional food in a fast-paced luxury environment.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute all banqueting culinary operations

• Develop innovative, high-quality menus for events and functions

• Supervise kitchen staff and ensure smooth execution during service

• Maintain Four Seasons standards of food quality and presentation

• Enforce hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen

• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior staff

• Collaborate with the Events and F&B team to meet client expectations

🎓 Minimum Requirements

• Formal culinary qualification or diploma

• 3–5 years’ experience in a senior kitchen role within a luxury hotel

• Proven track record in banqueting or high-volume event catering

• Strong communication and leadership abilities

• Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple events

• Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa
