Role Overview
The Lecturer in BCom Accounting will be responsible for teaching Financial Mathematics and related modules within the BCom programme or similar qualifications. The role requires designing and delivering lectures, facilitating discussions, providing academic support, and ensuring high-quality learning experiences.
The lecturer will also contribute to the development of module content, assessment design, marking, and student evaluation. The incumbent will act as a module lead in selected subjects, ensuring academic integrity, compliance, and continuous curriculum improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Instruction

Deliver lectures, workshops, and tutorials in Financial Mathematics and related subjects

Develop, update, and maintain course and instructional materials

Apply varied teaching methods to address diverse learning needs

Integrate digital tools and technology into teaching practices
Assessment and Evaluation

Design assessments including tests, assignments, and presentations

Mark student work and provide timely, constructive feedback

Track student performance and maintain accurate academic records
Student Support and Mentorship

Provide academic guidance and support to students

Offer consultation hours and respond to student queries promptly

Assist students in setting academic goals and achieving learning outcomes
Curriculum Development

Participate in programme planning, curriculum review, and enhancements

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements

NQF Level 8 or higher qualification in Accounting or Financial Management
