About the Apprenticeship Programme

Through its Learning and Development Division, the City of Tshwane is an accredited training provider offering structured apprenticeship programmes that combine classroom-based theory with intensive work-integrated learning.

The Boilermaking Apprenticeship is designed to prepare learners for a successful career as qualified artisans by providing practical exposure, technical instruction, and workplace discipline required in demanding industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities and Learning Areas

• Participate in theoretical and practical boilermaking training

Minimum Requirements

• Technical Matric, NCV Level 4, or N2 Certificate

• Mathematics and Physical Science passed

• Relevant trade theory related to boilermaking

• Strong interest in becoming a qualified artisan

• Willingness to commit fully to the duration of the apprenticeship

• Dedication, enthusiasm, and physical ability suited to the trade

• Applicants who already possess a trade certificate in any related trade will not be considered

• Submission of fraudulent information or documents will result in immediate disqualification

• Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged individuals and women

Stipend Information
