MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To maintain clean, safe, and hygienic branch offices, creating a welcoming environment for staff and customers. The role contributes to overall branch operations by ensuring high standards of cleanliness and health compliance.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain a Clean and Hygienic Workspace

    • Clean office areas, working spaces, and bathrooms.

    • Follow the cleaning roster and maintain high standards throughout the day.

    • Check in with staff to address additional cleaning requirements.

  2. Perform Daily Cleaning Tasks

    • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.

    • Empty dustbins and dispose of waste responsibly.

    • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.

    • Dust furniture, walls, and office equipment regularly.

  3. Maintain Kitchen Cleanliness and Supplies

    • Ensure the kitchen is clean and stocked.

    • Run the dishwasher as required and maintain clean dishes and utensils.

    • Refill tea, coffee, and sugar canisters.

    • Notify the Office Manager when stock is low.

  4. Health, Safety & Compliance

    • Follow health and safety regulations and proper use of cleaning materials.

    • Use cleaning equipment responsibly.

    • Monitor office safety and report hazards.

    • Attend team meetings and development sessions.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.

  • Basic knowledge of cleaning materials and methods.

  • Understanding of health and safety requirements.

Desirable:

  • Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience.

  • Familiarity with office cleaning standards.
