Key Responsibilities:
As the Branch Manager at PPG, you will have a hands-on role, managing the branch’s day-to-day operations and ensuring smooth and efficient processes across all departments. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Operational Management:
- 🛠️ Oversee all operational aspects of the branch, including distribution operations, customer service, human resources, health and safety, and administration.
- 📊 Develop forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans to guide branch operations and growth.
2. Sales and Market Growth:
- 📈 Assess local market conditions, identify current and prospective sales opportunities, and ensure strategies are in place to meet sales targets.
- 🧑🤝🧑 Foster strong customer and employee relationships to drive satisfaction and loyalty.
3. Financial Management:
- 💰 Manage the branch budget, allocate funds appropriately, and ensure financial objectives are met.
- 💳 Control branch debtors and oversee stock management to ensure optimal inventory levels.
4. Staff and Operations Management:
- 👥 Lead, train, and manage staff to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- ⚙️ Implement strategies that increase productivity, enhance operational efficiency, and improve branch performance.
5. Networking and Business Development:
- 🌐 Network with local businesses and organizations to improve the branch’s presence and reputation.
- 📊 Stay informed about competing markets, and provide reports on market movements and trends.
Qualifications & Skills:
Essential Qualifications:
- 📚 Grade 12 certification.
- 🎓 Post Grade 12 qualification in Sales or Marketing (Desirable).
- 💼 Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management role, preferably in the automotive market or related industry.
- 🖥️ Proficiency in MS Office.
Desired Skills:
- 🚗 Knowledge of the automotive market and products (preferred).
- 🔑 Strong management and leadership skills, with the ability to drive a team to success.
- 🚶 Ability to work retail hours as required.
- 💡 Strategic thinking and the ability to identify areas of improvement and propose solutions.
- 🚘 Valid driver’s license.
