As part of the Sanlam Life and Savings cluster within the Sanlam Group, SDM is committed to empowering communities through accessible financial solutions. We are now looking for a dedicated Branch Manager to join our Pretoria team and take ownership of branch performance and customer satisfaction.
Role Overview
As a Branch Manager, your primary responsibility is to lead and grow your retail branch by:

Increasing revenue and customer base.

Managing and supporting a high-performing team of Sales Consultants.

Creating a client-centric service culture and overseeing daily branch operations.
-
Aligning branch activities with Sanlam’s strategic objectives and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
-
Sales & Strategy Execution: Develop and implement a retail branch strategy in alignment with Sanlam Retail Mass goals. Drive growth through innovative sales tactics and engagement.

Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and manage Sales Consultants. Implement effective performance and talent development initiatives.

Client Service Excellence: Foster a culture of outstanding customer service across all channels.

Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, Sanlam policies, and quality assurance standards.

Operational Oversight: Oversee administrative and people-related functions like capacity planning, leave management, and resolving grievances.

Reporting: Manage monthly sales performance, planning, and service delivery metrics.
-
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders including community leaders, activation sites, and area managers.
Required Qualifications & Experience
-
Matric (Grade 12) is required.
-
RE1 and RE5 certifications are mandatory.
-
120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
-
Accredited Class of Business training (annually required).

CPD (Continuous Professional Development) compliant for all cycles.
-
5+ years of industry experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Strong experience in sales, service management, credit, and lending.
