Job Overview

The Branch Officer will support the Branch Manager by overseeing branch security operations and ensuring strict adherence to security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

This role is responsible for maintaining high security standards, managing security personnel, and protecting company assets while contributing to operational efficiency and risk mitigation. The position requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce and maintain branch security policies and operating procedures

• Manage and supervise security personnel to ensure compliance and performance

• Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and internal security standards

• Investigate incidents including theft, vandalism, and security breaches

• Conduct regular security audits, inspections, and risk assessments

• Coordinate emergency responses to security incidents and crises

• Communicate security procedures clearly to employees, customers, and suppliers

• Promote best security practices aligned with organisational values and goals

Qualifications

Education

• Grade 12 (Matric Certificate)

Experience

• Background in policing, military, investigations, or at least 2 years’ experience in the Cash-in-Transit (CIT) environment

Skills

• PSIRA Grade B with CIT accreditation

• Firearm competency for Handgun and Shotgun (business purposes)

• Strong analytical and numerical ability

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• High computer literacy

• Professional judgement and ethical conduct

• Valid driver’s licence

• Clear criminal and credit record

• Must not be registered as a director of any business
