🔎 Role Overview

Deel, a global HR and payroll technology leader, is looking for a Senior Payroll Solution Designer (Business Analyst) to help shape the next generation of our native payroll engine. This role sits at the centre of product architecture, commercial teams, engineering, and country payroll specialists—ensuring every feature delivers accuracy, scalability, and global compliance.

You’ll lead complex system design initiatives, build best-practice frameworks, guide junior designers, and bring clarity to payroll processes used in 150+ countries. If you thrive in fast-growing SaaS environments and want your work to impact millions globally, this role is for you.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 📝 Lead the development of Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and advanced process flows.

• 🧪 Create and refine detailed user stories on Azure DevOps.

• 🧩 Produce accurate requirement specifications for development teams.

• 🤝 Collaborate with engineering to conceptualise and design complex payroll solutions.

• 🚀 Oversee solution rollout and support change-management processes.

• 🧠 Provide expert consulting to internal and external payroll stakeholders.

• 📐 Establish best-practice frameworks, reusable assets, and solution design standards.

• ✔️ Work with QA teams on story validation and test plan creation.

• 🎓 Mentor mid-level and junior solution designers.

• 🎨 Use Figma (or similar) to design, illustrate, and communicate workflows and features.

🎯 Skills & Competencies Needed

• 6+ years as a Systems Business Analyst or Solution Designer

• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles

• SQL and data analysis proficiency

• Experience designing scalable, enterprise-level system solutions

• Skilled in wireframing and prototyping

• Understanding of software built on .NET (advantage)

• Business Analysis certification or Informatics qualification (beneficial)

• Experience in payroll or financial software is a major advantage

• Forward-thinking mindset aligned to long-term product vision

🎓 Qualifications

• No strict degree requirement stated; experience is prioritised

• UX/UI experience preferred
