About the Role:
As a Cargo Sales Executive, you will play a critical role in generating maximum cargo revenue by meeting and exceeding set revenue and tonnage targets. You will engage closely with cargo agents, manage telesales, and spearhead promotional activities. The position also requires effective coordination with Ground Handling Agents (GHA) and the Head Office Cargo department to ensure seamless cargo operations and top-tier customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive cargo sales to meet/exceed annual revenue and tonnage targets.

  • Conduct regular visits to cargo agents and manage telesales and promotional activities.

  • Assist clients with bookings, forwarding, and delivery processes in coordination with local GHAs and the Cargo department.

  • Distribute promotional items, memos, and announcements to agents to boost awareness of Qatar Airways products and services.

  • Arrange the delivery of cargo stationeries, forms, and labels to GHAs and sales agents, ensuring compliance with handling regulations.

  • Maintain continuous coordination between QR Space Control and customers to ensure timely shipment transfers and optimal space utilization.

  • Prepare monthly marketing reports to track sales achievements and implement corrective actions where needed.

  • Manage cargo claims and discrepancies, working closely with the Head Office cargo claims supervisor.

  • Perform other tasks as required by the Head of Department.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A minimum Diploma qualification.

  • At least 4 years of experience in cargo sales, marketing, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of cargo marketing, basic rating, and dangerous goods regulations.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Understanding of IATA/TACT Regulations and their impact on cargo sales.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work independently.
