🏦 Job Overview

As a Cash Processor, your main responsibility will be the accurate and secure handling, sorting, reconciliation, and prepping of cash deposits received from clients, including banks and commercial entities. You’ll help ensure timely and compliant cash transactions, working closely with internal teams and external clients.

🔐 Key Responsibilities

Receive and Preprocess Cash

• Receive deposit containers/bags and check for damage or tampering.

• Update all transactions accurately on applicable systems.

• Comply strictly with internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Note Sorting and Validation

• Sort all deposits/notes (FDP/ACDP) on the same day as received.

• Identify and handle rejected notes (counterfeit, mutilated, dye-stained).

• Complete end-of-day balancing and reconciliation.

• Perform desktop deposit processing per customer and SLA.

Coin Processing

• Process bulk coin deposits according to SBV policies.

• Handle teller coin transfers and reconcile coin-related transactions.

Bank System Integration

• Verify and validate bank-linked deposits to avoid misposts.

• Report integration issues or downtime to team controllers.

Payroll and Change Orders

• Process payroll and float change orders within SLA.

• Package and seal floats with packing slips, ensuring accuracy.

Treasury Support

• Assist with packing/unpacking ATM and bank cash.

• Manage cash packing consumables and document all activity.

Equipment Handling

• Report any equipment malfunctions immediately.

• Ensure all machinery is used according to SBV Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

✅ Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) with Maths Literacy.

• 6 months of experience in a cashier or teller role (advantageous but not required).

• Accuracy, reliability, and strong attention to detail.

• Good communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines.
