We are seeking a Financial Manager – Catering to strengthen our finance structure, support divisional growth, ensure compliance, and lead a motivated finance team. This is a highly strategic and hands-on role for a financial professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments.

🎯 Purpose of the Role

The Financial Manager will deliver accurate financial reporting, manage the division’s budgeting and forecasting cycle, safeguard strong internal controls, and drive financial insights that support operational decision-making. You will provide commercial support, oversee audits, champion process improvements, and mentor a team of finance professionals.

🔑 Key Duties & Responsibilities

📘 Financial Reporting & Controls

• Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts, financial statements, and cash flow forecasts.

• Maintain a strong governance framework aligned with Tsebo’s internal policies and regulatory standards.

• Oversee financial reconciliations, month-end close processes, and adherence to IFRS.

📊 Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

• Lead annual budgeting cycles and quarterly forecasting.

• Provide detailed cost, margin, and variance analyses to support operational decisions.

• Support contract profitability reviews and commercial modelling for new and existing clients.

💰 Working Capital & Cash Flow

• Monitor liquidity and ensure working capital targets are consistently met.

• Implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiencies across financial operations.

🖥️ Systems, Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Drive financial systems implementations (including D365, Hyperion, QlikView).

• Lead automation, process improvements, and data analytics initiatives.

👥 People Leadership

• Recruit, mentor, and develop finance team members to drive high performance.

• Encourage a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

📁 Governance, Audit & Compliance

• Coordinate external and internal audits.

• Ensure adherence to compliance requirements and robust internal controls.

• Support group-wide governance initiatives.

• Strong financial and business acumen

• Proven capability in budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting

• Hands-on experience with automation/data analysis tools

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Management

• CA(SA) – essential

• 5–8 years post-qualification experience

• Proficiency in D365, Hyperion, QlikView, advanced Excel

• Strong understanding of IFRS, internal controls & governance

• Proven leadership and people management experience
