The City of Johannesburg is inviting passionate, qualified, and unemployed graduates residing in Johannesburg to apply for its 2025 Assets Internship Programme. This opportunity is hosted by the Transport Department and aims to equip graduates with practical experience aligned with academic learning.

🎓 Who Should Apply?

✅ Graduates with no previous internship experience
✅ Applicants with a completed Diploma (NQF 6) or currently enrolled in:

🧾 What You’ll Learn:
📌 Gain hands-on experience in the City’s asset management processes
📌 Learn how to capitalise assets across Johannesburg’s 7 regions
📌 Assist in tracking Assets Under Construction (AUC) / Work In Progress (WIP)
📌 Participate in asset verification (movable & immovable)
📌 Support asset-related accounting and recordkeeping
📌 Assist with payments, accruals on SAP, and insurance documentation
📌 Handle day-to-day admin tasks: data entry, file management, coordination
💡 Skills & Competencies You’ll Build:

✔️ Strong written & verbal communication

✔️ Knowledge of admin/accounting principles
