About the Role:

Zutari’s Global Design Centre (GDC) Water Team is seeking a Civil Design Modeller to support an important Australian client with water infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about digital design modelling in the civil engineering field. As part of the team, you will work on cutting-edge projects, creating 3D civil engineering models and supporting the design of water infrastructure systems.

Key Software:
The core software for this role includes Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk AutoCAD. Competence in these applications is crucial, and while experience with Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Plant 3D, and Autodesk Inventor is beneficial, it is not a primary requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

✔️ Project Drafting Delivery: Ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of civil engineering drawings within project constraints (budget, time, quality).
✔️ Develop 3D Civil Models: Create models for surfaces, corridors, and pipeline networks.
✔️ Generate Civil Drawings: Focus on civil infrastructure projects, especially in water systems, ensuring all technical details are included in drawings.
✔️ Software Proficiency: Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D and InfraWorks for producing engineering models and drawing outputs.
✔️ Collaboration: Work closely with digital delivery teams to ensure smooth integration between multiple engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, civil, structural).
✔️ Maintain Drafting Standards: Ensure adherence to project-specific drawing standards, templates, and best practices (e.g., title blocks, line weights, naming conventions).
✔️ Quality Assurance: Review models and drawings for accuracy and quality before submission.
✔️ Digital Model Management: Assist in managing digital models and collaborate on best practices for model management.

Minimum Requirements:

✔️ Qualification: Relevant qualification in Modelling, Draughting, or Civil Engineering.
✔️ Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a civil engineering draughtsperson, particularly within civil, mining, industrial, or structural engineering sectors.
✔️ Autodesk Civil 3D Expertise: Strong proficiency in using Autodesk Civil 3D (version 2020 or later) for modelling and drawing production.
✔️ BIM360/ACC and ProjectWise: Experience using BIM360 and ProjectWise.
✔️ Software Competency Test: You must pass a software and skill competency test as part of the interview process.

Advantageous Experience and Competencies:

✔️ Autodesk Civil 3D Certification: Preferred if you have formal training or certification in Autodesk Civil 3D.
✔️ Additional Software Experience: Experience with Bentley MicroStation V8i (2D & 3D) or Autodesk Revit is advantageous.
✔️ BIM Understanding: Understanding of the Building Information Modelling (BIM) process is highly desirable.
