🛠️ Key Responsibilities

📐 Municipal Services Design & Modelling

You will be responsible for producing designs and models across municipal services including roads, stormwater systems, water networks, sewer reticulation, telecommunications, and bulk earthworks. This spans the full lifecycle from planning through detailed design and construction documentation.

📄 Project Documentation & Technical Outputs

You will support the preparation of project specifications, Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, and tender documentation. You will prepare reports and ensure all deliverables follow Zutari’s strict quality control procedures and industry codes of practice, especially SANS 1200.

📋 Quality Assurance & Compliance

You will ensure drawing accuracy, maintain drawing standards, and confirm all technical outputs meet engineering codes, standards, and organisational guidelines.

👷 Construction Supervision

Where required, you will perform construction supervision duties, ensuring implementation aligns with design intent and engineering specifications.

🤝 Team & Client Collaboration

You will work closely with the Project Leader and multidisciplinary teams, supporting project coordination while confidently taking the lead on design tasks as needed. A strong focus on client experience and communication is essential.

🎓 Qualifications

BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering.

📅 Experience

A minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in land infrastructure projects, specifically within municipal services and relevant sectors.

💻 Technical Skills

Civil 3D proficiency is essential, particularly for earthworks and civil services design. A solid understanding of engineering standards, codes, and SANS 1200 is required.
