As a Civil Engineer / Technologist, you will have the exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact through your work in municipal services and land development infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be designing and modelling projects that contribute to infrastructure such as roads, stormwater, water, sewer, telecoms, and bulk earthworks. You will be working from planning to detailed design and construction drawings, ensuring all projects meet quality and industry standards.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Modelling: Work on civil infrastructure projects, including road design, stormwater, and bulk earthworks.
- Documentation Preparation: Assist with project specifications, Bills of Quantities (BoQ), cost estimates, and tender documentation.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure designs adhere to engineering codes, particularly SANS 1200, and comply with Zutari’s quality control standards.
- Collaboration: Work alongside the Project Leader and take ownership of project designs when required.
- Construction Supervision: Oversee the construction phase of projects when necessary, ensuring adherence to design.
- Client Engagement: Deliver exceptional service and maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams.

- Education: BSc/BEng or BEng Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience post-qualification in land infrastructure projects.
- Technical Proficiency: AutoCAD and Civil 3D expertise for civil services and earthworks design.
- Communication: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead projects and interact with all organizational levels.
- Attention to Detail: A disciplined, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven approach to work.
