We are looking for a Civil Quality Engineer to oversee and ensure compliance in all civil construction work. If you have a keen eye for detail, a strong background in civil engineering, and a passion for quality and safety, we want to hear from you!
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Site Inspections: Conduct inspections of excavations, foundations, roads, stormwater systems, and buildings to ensure compliance with safety regulations and design specifications.
✔️ Compliance & Quality Control: Monitor construction activities and verify compliance with project standards, designs, and applicable codes.
✔️ Technical Review: Interpret drawings, site layouts, and specifications, ensuring alignment with industry and legal requirements.
✔️ Monitoring & Reporting: Maintain daily logs, capture progress through photographs, and report findings to the project manager.
✔️ Safety Assurance: Ensure construction teams adhere to all health and safety standards, reducing risks on-site.
✔️ Project Oversight: Measure and verify dimensions, levels, and alignments to maintain design integrity.
✔️ Regulatory Adherence: Follow Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements and contribute to its continuous improvement.
🎯 Required Skills & Experience:
🎓 Education & Qualifications:

Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Professional registration with ECSA or a similar body is preferred.
🛠️ Experience & Technical Skills:
-
Strong background in civil design (roads, stormwater, sewer reticulation).

Experience in structural design (concrete and steel structures) is an advantage.

Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Civil Designer, Civil 3D, Prokon, Strand 7 is a plus.

Knowledge of quality control procedures in construction and project management.
