About the Role
Are you an experienced Civil Quality Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in Mpumalanga? Join our team and play a critical role in overseeing civil construction projects to ensure compliance with standards, designs, specifications, and the Quality Management Plan. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of projects while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
✔️ Inspect excavations, foundations, roads, stormwater measures, and buildings for quality, safety, and compliance.
✔️ Review and interpret drawings, site layouts, specifications, and construction methods.
✔️ Monitor civil and construction activities to ensure all work aligns with regulations and standards.
✔️ Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and project specifications.
✔️ Measure dimensions, verify position, level, alignment, and elevation of structures and fixtures.
✔️ Maintain daily logs, inspection records, and supplement reports with photographs.
✔️ Provide written assessments on inspections and report progress to the Project Manager.
✔️ Follow and contribute to the effectiveness of Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements.
Required Knowledge & Skills
🎯 Experience in Civil Design (roads, stormwater, sewer reticulation).
🎯 Advantageous: Structural design experience (concrete and/or steel).
🎯 Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil Designer, Civil 3D, Prokon, Strand 7, and other structural design software (preferred).
🎯 Strong Project Management skills.
🎯 Professional Registration required.
