Job Overview

SA Metal Group is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Cleaner to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment across company facilities while supporting operational efficiency and safety standards.

This role is essential in ensuring that all workspaces, common areas, and surrounding environments remain clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning floors, work areas, and operational spaces

• Dusting and polishing furniture and fittings

• Sweeping and mopping floors regularly

• Cleaning walls and windows

• Cleaning and disinfecting kitchen, restroom, and bathroom facilities

• Emptying and sanitising waste containers daily

• Maintaining cleanliness around building entrances, walkways, and surrounding areas

• Ensuring cleaning activities comply with workplace health and safety standards

Qualifications

Education

• Minimum Grade 12 (Matric)

Experience

• 3–5 years minimum experience working as a Cleaner

• Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or production environments will be advantageous

Skills

• Ability to read and write in English

• Strong housekeeping and maintenance skills

• Knowledge of Health and Safety Management practices

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Good organisational and time management skills

• Professional work ethic and reliability

• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
