About the Role

Fidelity Services Group is seeking a professional and experienced Cleaning Manager for adhoc events and projects. As a key member of the Cleaning Services Division, you will oversee cleaning operations for selected events, managing both infrastructure and personnel to ensure high-quality service. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining standards, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving business growth and retention.


Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Oversee cleaning staff, ensuring proper allocation of tasks, shifts, and performance management.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to guarantee the highest cleaning standards at all times.

  • Client Engagement: Meet with clients regularly, address their concerns, and ensure full satisfaction.

  • Operations Coordination: Manage equipment and supplies, ensuring proper documentation, stock levels, and compliance with company procedures.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all cleaning activities meet the regulations set forth by the Occupational Health and Safety Act, ensuring a safe working environment.

  • Reporting and Documentation: Generate daily attendance registers, report on any issues, and ensure operational transparency with regional managers.

  • Promoting Non-Recurring Business: Increase company revenue by promoting a full range of non-recurring cleaning services, including special events and projects.


Minimum Requirements

  • Experience: At least 5 years in cleaning management, including expertise in window, carpet, and various other cleaning techniques.

  • Qualifications: Matric and a tertiary qualification preferred.

  • Background: Preferably from a sales/operations background with exposure to once-off projects.

  • Skills: Strong computer literacy (MS Office, Excel), good administrative and organizational skills.

  • Driving License: Valid driver’s license.

  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours as required by the nature of ad hoc events.


Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess excellent people management skills, be proactive, and have a methodical approach to solving problems. You should be able to think quickly on your feet, ensuring seamless operations for multiple events at a time. A strong background in administration and operations, combined with leadership experience, is essential to succeed in this role.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide clear guidance and conduct regular performance appraisals for supervisors and team leaders.

  • Attend meetings with clients and internal stakeholders to discuss site needs, issues, and improvements.

  • Manage the budget for events and ensure the efficient allocation of resources.
