JOB OVERVIEW

Quantum Insight is seeking dedicated and reliable Cleaners to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across assigned facilities. The role supports infection control, workplace safety, and service excellence. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, buffing, and operating cleaning machines

• Clean walls, windows, doors, bathrooms, tiles, showers, basins, and lockers

• Dust, wash, and polish furniture and fittings

• Clean offices, clinics, corridors, theatres, X-ray rooms, kitchens, lifts, passages, waiting areas, and carpets

• Remove medical and general waste and ensure correct waste segregation

• Follow healthcare waste management and infection control guidelines

• Operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment

• Defrost and clean unit refrigerators

• Refill soap containers and maintain cleaning trolleys

• Complete daily cleaning control lists

• Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)

• Attend training sessions and meetings as required

• Perform additional duties allocated by the supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Minimum Grade 10 (Required)

Experience

• Cleaning experience in healthcare or institutional environments (Advantageous)

Skills

• Knowledge of cleaning legislation and procedures

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work under pressure

• Good planning and organisational skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles

• Willingness to rotate units and work shifts
