Job Description:

Tsebo Solutions Group, a leading African Integrated Workplace Management Solutions Provider, is looking for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our team in Klerkdorp, North-West, South Africa. As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring high service standards are consistently maintained, overseeing daily operations, and managing a team of cleaning staff. Your role will involve reporting to management, conducting inspections, and ensuring that health, hygiene, and safety standards are met. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the company’s image through your leadership and the quality of work delivered by your team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement work schedules/job cards relevant to each position and the site.

• Conduct regular inspections to ensure that high service standards are met and cleaning protocols are followed.

• Report maintenance and safety concerns to management, ensuring they are addressed promptly.

• Ensure that staff are professionally dressed, with a name badge, and emphasize the importance of upholding the company’s image.

• Strictly adhere to company policies, quality programs, and relevant legislation regarding cleaning methods and standards.

• Perform monthly spot checks on high-value assets, ensuring that equipment is maintained, repaired, and serviced as required.

• Monitor the overall health, hygiene, and professional appearance of the team, leading by example.

• Maintain strong communication with staff and management to ensure smooth operations and team motivation.

• Respond promptly to management requests and provide necessary actions when required.

• Oversee all aspects of cleaning services, ensuring the environment remains safe, clean, and compliant with health standards.

Skills & Competencies:

• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a similar environment.

• Experience in health, hospitality, and safety standards and management.

• Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency in addressing issues.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Flexible and adaptable to changing work environments.

• Capable of working independently, as well as leading a team.

• Willingness to work long hours, after hours, and on weekends if required.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of Matric/Grade 12.

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field are highly advantageous.

• Previous experience in managing cleaning teams, ideally in the health or hospitality sectors, will be beneficial.
