Job Overview
Clover is offering unemployed youth the opportunity to join its Sales Execution Department as YES Learner Merchandisers. This 12-month learnership provides structured workplace exposure within retail environments, allowing participants to gain practical experience in merchandising, stock control, customer engagement, and in-store sales execution. Positions are available across Clover branches nationwide, including Clayville, Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth, and Queensburgh.
Key Responsibilities

Control and order stock in-store and in backup areas where Clover products are handled

Apply correct stock control measures and minimize returns according to store work plans

Prevent out-of-stock situations and report incidents to the Area Manager
-
Place accurate and timely product orders based on ordering cycles

Maintain clean, neat, and well-presented products on shelves at all times
-
Ensure correct crate and equipment control in line with company policy

Build and maintain professional relationships with store management, customers, Area Managers, Head Office, and fellow merchandisers

Apply shelf control in line with approved store layouts and shelf plans

Pack shelves according to store flow and basic merchandising principles

Ensure fridges and display equipment are properly maintained

Maintain shelf sets, price labels, and point-of-sale material

Complete relevant administrative tasks and reports

Identify opportunities to improve product visibility and availability in-store
Qualifications
Education:
-
Grade 12 / National Certificate (NQF Level 4)
Experience:

No prior work experience required

Must be unemployed at the time of application
Skills:

Fluent in Business English

Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
