Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Needs Clarification: Assess customer needs and clarify service expectations by asking relevant questions, guiding conversations with customer-centric strategies.

  • Customer Service: Deliver top-tier service while identifying new collection opportunities and supporting policy retention through troubleshooting and solutions.

  • Customer Management: Carry out standard customer management activities, assisting in the maintenance and retention of policies.

  • Operational Compliance: Stay compliant with company policies and regulatory standards to ensure work is always aligned with industry best practices.

  • Personal Development: Engage in continuous training and development to enhance personal and professional capabilities. Stay updated with internal and industry-specific changes.

  • Performance Management: Prioritize workflow, ensuring tasks are completed within required productivity and quality standards. Use performance management tools to track KPIs.

  • Data Collection & Analysis: Extract and analyze data to assist with decision-making and improving collections strategies.

  • Sales & Proposals: Propose the best solutions to customers based on their needs and influence them to retain their business.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Matric/Grade 12 (Essential); RE 5 (Advantageous); STI Qualification (Advantageous); FAIS recognized qualification (Advantageous); Class of Business Certification (Advantageous).

  • Experience: At least 1 year of retentions experience in a customer service or collections environment (Essential); Experience in financial services is an advantage.
