Job Overview

The Collections Consultant is responsible for managing inbound and outbound telephonic interactions with clients to collect missed premiums while maintaining strong customer relationships. The role focuses on service excellence, client retention, and accurate system usage to ensure effective query resolution and compliance with MiWay standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inbound and outbound calls to clients regarding missed premium collections

• Retain clients through effective communication and solution-driven engagement

• Provide accurate product and policy information in line with company protocols

• Resolve customer queries efficiently and escalate when necessary

• Maintain accurate records and utilise IT systems correctly

• Ensure service quality consistently exceeds customer expectations

• Collaborate with internal departments to support customer resolutions

Qualifications

Education

• Grade 12 / Standard 10 / NQF Level 4 (Essential)

• RE 5 (Essential)

• FAIS Fit and Proper compliance or more than 2 years supervision period remaining

Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ call centre experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in short-term insurance

Skills

• Strong customer service and client retention skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

• Active listening and analytical problem-solving skills

• Ability to multitask and perform under pressure

• Strong administrative and organisational skills

• Results-driven and target-oriented mindset

• Multilingual capability (essential)
