Job Overview

The Commerce Graduate Programme is designed to develop high-potential graduates by exposing them to real-world e-commerce, marketing, and commercial operations across the Takealot Group.

Graduates will rotate across key business units, gaining practical experience in campaign management, digital marketing, merchandising collaboration, analytics, and stakeholder engagement. This programme equips graduates with both technical and soft skills, preparing them for long-term careers in a large-scale, high-growth digital environment.

This is a contract position offering hands-on exposure in one of Africa’s most dynamic e-commerce ecosystems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own, update, and maintain the promotional calendar for TakealotMORE initiatives

  • Coordinate and manage promotional and marketing campaigns across platforms

  • Liaise with partner marketing teams on joint campaigns and activations

  • Conceptualise, implement, and manage ongoing promotional campaigns to drive adoption and retention

  • Work closely with merchandising teams to improve customer conversion journeys

  • Support new feature launches and develop always-on educational content

  • Collaborate with brand, social media, influencer, CRM, and performance media teams

  • Track and report on campaign and promotional performance daily, weekly, and monthly

  • Conduct competitor analysis and share insights with internal stakeholders

  • Act as a central point of contact for cross-functional teams


Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related commercial discipline

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Creative thinking and idea generation capability

  • Basic understanding of digital marketing platforms and tools

  • Ability to analyse data and extract consumer insights

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
