Job Overview
RCL Foods is seeking a skilled Commercial Accountant to join its Sugar operating unit in Malelane. This role involves providing financial and commercial support to operations, ensuring accurate reporting, cost management, and strategic financial planning.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial performance, supporting decision-making, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operational teams to provide financial and commercial insights
- Manage and monitor costs in collaboration with departmental managers
- Maintain production order processes and costing models
- Compile weekly and monthly management reports and analyse variances
- Prepare annual business plans and financial forecasts
- Manage capital expenditure processes
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Drive working capital optimisation initiatives
- Support automation of financial reporting processes
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
- Provide ad hoc financial support to operations and commercial teams
Qualifications
Education:
- CA(SA) or CIMA qualification (essential)
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ practical experience in financial and commercial accounting
Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and SAP experience
- Strong financial modelling capabilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with a proactive approach
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interest in SAP S/4HANA and analytics tools
