About the Role 📊
We are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) function. This role is perfect for someone who has a passion for turning data into actionable insights and enjoys the intersection of finance and strategy. As part of our head office team in Wellington, you will play a pivotal role in budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial analysis to enable real-time decision-making across the business.
You will collaborate with key stakeholders, empowering them with financial clarity and strategic direction. As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the development and execution of accurate and timely budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Financial Analysis: Deliver key insights from financial data to support decision-making at various levels of the organization.
- Workday Adaptive Planning: Leverage Workday Adaptive Planning to drive automation and ensure accuracy in financial processes.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Work closely with stakeholders, providing clear financial insights and strategic guidance for business growth.
- Variance Analysis: Perform variance analysis to understand key business drivers and inform management decisions.

The Ideal Candidate 🎯
We are looking for an intermediate-level professional with a strong background in financial analysis, FP&A, or commercial finance. The ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of forecasting and variance analysis.
- Familiarity with ERP/FMIS systems (Experience with Workday Adaptive, Power BI, or Sage Intacct is a plus!).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to changes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams across the organization.
- A proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
