Job Overview:
Brown-Forman is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team in Cape Town. As a pivotal member of the Finance Team, you will contribute to the growth and strategic development of Africa’s FMCG market, working closely with Marketing and Commercial teams on world-renowned brands.
This exciting entry-level opportunity offers international exposure and growth within a leading Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company. The role is based in Cape Town, with the flexibility to work one day per week remotely.
What You Will Do:
🔍 Impactful Reporting & Analysis:
Provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports and analysis, empowering business leaders to make informed decisions.
📝 Planning & Closing:
Contribute to data management during planning cycles and monthly financial closing. Analyze variances and ensure data integrity.
📊 Optimize P&L Performance:
Review and analyze key P&L items to ensure accurate financial reporting and identify improvement opportunities.
📈 Financial Performance Communication:
Support the preparation of presentations, communicating financial results and key insights to the business team.
💰 Budget Tracking:
Monitor and update detailed budget records to ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date.
⚡ Operational Support:
Assist with special projects, ad-hoc analyses, and provide overall support to the Africa Team.
Qualifications & Skills You Bring:
🎓 Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance & Accounting or newly qualified CA.
💼 Experience: A minimum of 1 year of finance experience within the FMCG or consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector.
📊 Skills:

Advanced Excel skills

Proficient in SAP, including Business Warehouse/BI

Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities
🌍 Fluency in English (written and verbal)
🔍 Desirable:

Interest or experience in the wine and spirits industry or FMCG sector
