πŸ’Ό Role Overview

The Community Health Lead will play a pivotal role in advancing public healthcare solutions with a focus on breast cancer (BC) in South Africa. You’ll work closely with local stakeholders, Novartis Global Health teams, and provincial health structures to co-design, implement, and evaluate a sustainable and scalable model for cancer care in the public sector.


πŸ”‘ Key Responsibilities

  • Program Design & Management
    Lead the end-to-end design and execution of the Community Health Model, identifying strategic partners, defining KPIs, and managing work plans and timelines.

  • Access Solutions Development
    Co-develop access strategies for standard-of-care treatments, including sales/patient reach analyses and local business case support.

  • Stakeholder Engagement
    Foster strong relationships with healthcare providers, policy influencers, government stakeholders, and Novartis cross-functional teams.

  • Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact Reporting
    Create and maintain M&E frameworks, track KPIs, report outcomes, and share success stories to inform policy decisions and drive continuous improvement.


βœ… Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Advanced degree in Public Health, Business, Economics, Medicine, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 5+ years in the pharmaceutical industry or global health

  • Proven project management experience

  • Experience in oncology or chronic disease programs (preferred)

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Quantitative and data-driven mindset

Language:

  • Fluency in English (verbal and written)
