Job Overview
This senior-level role is focused on strengthening and embedding SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) regulatory compliance across Sasolโs Southern Africa operations. The position involves enabling regulatory alignment, improving compliance frameworks, and supporting business units in understanding and managing their legal obligations. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in ensuring regulatory readiness and driving compliance excellence across multiple operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret SHE regulatory changes and assess their business impact
- Provide expert guidance on compliance frameworks, controls, and governance processes
- Support implementation of regulatory requirements across business units
- Conduct SHE compliance audits and prepare detailed findings reports
- Identify compliance risks and provide proactive mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, legal teams, and regulatory authorities
- Develop systems, tools, and processes to enhance compliance management
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on audit findings and trends
- Support reporting, communication, and stakeholder engagement on compliance matters
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelorโs Degree in Law
Experience
- Minimum of 9+ years experience in regulatory compliance
- Strong exposure to SHE regulatory environments
Skills
- Deep understanding of SHE compliance frameworks and risk management
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking ability
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
