Role Overview

As a Contracts Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing contractual obligations for major infrastructure projects. Your expertise in FIDIC Red and Pink Book will be essential in assessing claims, mitigating risks, and ensuring contractual compliance. You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve disputes and enhance contract management processes.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Contract Administration: Interpret and manage FIDIC Red and Pink Book contracts, ensuring adherence to all contractual obligations.
✔ Claims Assessment: Evaluate claims, prepare reports, and recommend claim settlements based on FIDIC guidelines.
✔ Risk Management: Identify potential contractual risks and implement strategies to mitigate financial and reputational impact.
✔ Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure smooth contract execution.
✔ Dispute Resolution: Collaborate with legal and project teams to facilitate contract dispute resolution.
✔ Documentation: Maintain thorough records of all contract-related communications and amendments for compliance and project tracking.
✔ Process Improvement: Contribute to enhancing contract management best practices and methodologies.

Requirements

🎓 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
📜 Professional Registration: ECSA, PMI, or equivalent accreditation.
🔹 Experience: Minimum 10 years as a Contracts Engineer, with expertise in FIDIC Red and Pink Book (claims assessment and dispute resolution).
📊 Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in contract administration, claims evaluation, and legal compliance.
📈 Analytical Ability: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex claims and propose viable solutions.
