🔎 About the Role: Contracts Specialist

Are you passionate about supply chain optimisation, strategic sourcing, and building supplier relationships? De Beers Group is looking for a Contracts Specialist to join its team and support the end-to-end sourcing and contracting lifecycle. This role is crucial to ensuring operational efficiency, security of supply, and long-term commercial value across the regional procurement portfolio.

✅ Key Responsibilities

📝 Sourcing & Contract Management

• Lead full lifecycle of sourcing and contract management across key categories.

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans and inclusive procurement strategies.

• Execute contract administration and monitor supplier performance.

📈 Strategic Alignment

• Align sourcing efforts with both regional and global supply chain goals.

• Integrate procurement activities with business unit requirements for optimal impact.

💡 Value Creation

• Identify commercial opportunities for cost saving and innovation.

• Promote inclusive procurement to support social value objectives.

🔗 Stakeholder Management

• Serve as a liaison between Supply Chain and internal/external stakeholders.

• Support contract implementation and supplier relationship management (SRM).

📊 Reporting & Data Management

• Maintain accurate legal and electronic contract records.

• Analyse sourcing data to highlight trends, bottlenecks, and improvement areas.

🎓 Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field.

• 5 years’ experience in supply chain or procurement (advantageous).

• Strong mathematical and analytical acumen.

• SAP experience (especially SAP Ariba) and solid MS Office skills.

Preferred:

• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline.

• Exposure to commercial negotiations and supplier engagement.

Competencies:

• Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and documentation skills.

• Effective communicator with strong problem-solving ability.

• Ethical, collaborative, and performance-driven.
