DHL Supply Chain South Africa is looking for a dedicated Coordinator – Internal Communications to join the team and contribute to the success of our communications strategy across Africa.

Role Outline

As the Coordinator – Internal Communications at DHL Supply Chain, you will play a key role in implementing communication strategies that enhance internal engagement across Africa. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for storytelling, and the ability to drive impactful internal communications in a global company.

In this role, you will collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Lead for Africa to execute internal communication programs, including corporate social responsibility initiatives, employee engagement activities, and more. You will support the team by producing compelling content, maintaining communication channels, and helping shape the company’s messaging to align with business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

📬 Internal Communications Support – Assist in shaping and implementing the communication strategy in line with the Africa business strategy, stakeholder needs, and company policies.
📝 Content Creation – Write and create engaging content for internal communication channels such as newsletters, emails, events, and Smart Connect.
🎥 Media Production – Support the creation of digital materials, including video and promotional content.
📅 Event Coordination – Assist with planning and executing internal communication events, such as town halls and MD road shows.
📊 Internal Communications Channels – Administer communication channels, ensuring timely distribution of materials and fostering engagement through Smart Connect and other platforms.
💼 Team Collaboration – Work with cross-functional teams to develop communication strategies and support business functions.
📣 Branding and PR – Support public relations efforts by creating communication materials that align with DHL’s brand guidelines and business goals.
🌍 Corporate Social Responsibility – Assist in managing CSR initiatives, including the GoTeach program and other community-focused activities.
🗂️ Administrative Support – Provide general administrative support for the internal communications and marketing team, including scheduling meetings, managing databases, and booking travel.

What You Will Bring to the Role

🔹 Qualification – Matric and a degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field.
🔹 Experience – 1-2 years in marketing, communications, or a related field, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.
🔹 Communication Skills – Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with experience in managing media relations.
🔹 Multimedia Skills – Experience in video production and editing software to create engaging content.
🔹 Project Management – Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
🔹 Creative Thinking – Ability to creatively solve communication challenges and improve strategies based on audience engagement metrics.
🔹 Tech-Savvy – Comfortable using communication platforms, content management systems, and digital tools to optimize engagement.
